About Carol Ann
Carol Ann Felts is an 8th generation native Floridian, and has been a resident of Manatee County for over 35 years, first residing in West Bradenton, boarding her horses in Parrish, then retiring to the Myakka area.
Carol Ann has been an active participant in environmental issues, local government, and a proponent for Smarter Growth in Florida for decades, with an innate sense of place, knowledge of its land and waterways, and the cultural, political and economic history of this area.
Born and raised in Miami and the Keys in a family of first responders, Ms. Felts has a background in accounting in a variety of industries, to include manufacturing, agriculture, and the design/build industry.
As an appointee to the Environmental Lands Management and Acquisition Committee, as the at-Large representative for the citizens, Carol Ann brings to that advisory board not only her intrinsic knowledge of the environmental challenges in a growing area, but her respect for the prudent use of our tax dollars in how we address them.
